I’ll Gain Weight

Many people think that they’ll gain weight if they stop smoking. In fact, a lot of people do gain weight when they stop smoking. But this only happens if they use the traditional NRT or willpower based methods.

They stop smoking, think something is missing in their lives and reminisce about when they used to smoke. No wonder that they never get rid of their cravings. So instead, to cure this unhappiness, the big hole in their life and the cravings, they turn to food.

This won’t happen to you!

As you read and understand what smoking and addiction really are, by the time you finish your final cigarette, you will no longer desire to have a cigarette. You will see it for what it really is and you will feel like a person who has never smoked before. Why would you suddenly start to eat more in this scenario? Simply put, you won’t.

If you have had weight problems from before you started smoking or yo-yoing weight during your smoking years, then I would advise you to also look into the reasons why you have a weight problem after you stop smoking.

Ask yourself why you’ve had weight problems so far. It is my belief that most overweight people do it because they are addicted to excess food - food that is surplus to what you need. Food is used as a comfort by many people who are unhappy and they get overweight because of this. It’s beyond the scope of this guide to talk much more about the problem of being overweight in general but I would advise you to look at the principles of smoking addiction and apply them to an “overeating addiction” because, ultimately, all addictions are the same. But tackle each addiction separately. Stop smoking first, then look within yourself and ask yourself why you eat too much.

And, if you have never had a weight problem your entire life and can’t relate to people who are overweight and suffer from yo-yoing weight and crash diet fads then look closely - these people are not so different to yourself. Their irrational behaviour is exactly the same as a smoker’s. It’s a case of the mental state caused by addiction giving them emotions that override logic.

When you quit smoking using this method, you’ll feel incredible, smoke free and happy in the knowledge that you won’t gain weight like others.
