Remember When You Were A Non-Smoker?

I’ve said many times that when you stop smoking that you will be a non-smoker again, not an ex-smoker.

You will feel just like you did when you were younger and healthier and were not yet addicted to cigarettes. Can you remember what that was like?

Visualise and think back to before you had ever tried a cigarette. Most of your life you were not even curious to try cigarettes, in fact the smell of them was awful to you - you couldn’t understand why people would smoke them.

You’d look at smokers huddled together like pack animals furiously puffing away. It seemed ridiculous and strange behaviour to you.

You will soon go back to those days and see your addiction for what it is. You won’t miss cigarettes and you’ll remember what it was like to be a non-smoker.

By remembering what it was like and what it will be like, we can help prepare our minds for the inevitable - for a future of no smoking.

If it is hard for you right now to remember what it was like to be a non-smoker, then don’t worry, you will soon remember after you have finished this program. Trust in me as a former smoker and now a non-smoker - the feeling you have will be just like before.

You’ll be normal again, like a child is before they have been exposed to the world of smoking. The only difference is that you’ll be wiser than most non-smokers for having been there, experienced addiction and then rid yourself of addiction to change your life for the better.
