The Time Of Your Life

I’m sure you’ve heard the different figures given for how much of your life smoking takes away. 11 minutes per cigarette? 14 minutes per cigarette?
I’m not going to patronise you and force yet another bad statistic down your throat. Let’s look at it in a different way.
When you stop smoking and your body recovers itself from the abuse, you’ll be able to experience and do so much more in life. Chances are that you’ll live way into your senior years and see your beautiful grandkids. Even if you don’t have family, you’ll be so much more active in your later years.
Sometimes people tell me that they don’t want to live that long. They don’t want to be disabled and rely on others in their old age. Well, chances are that you will live to old age even if you don’t think you will. The average life expectancy is increasing all the time and when you have stopped smoking, you’ll be able to enjoy it in better health than if you had still been smoking.
As a non-smoker, you will be able to do so much more. Have you ever seen someone on TV and been marvelled at how “youthful” they are in their old age? I bet you a million bucks that they are not smokers!
There is a guy in England where I come from who has been on TV for years. He presents the original “Strictly Come Dancing” TV program here and is still dancing, cracking jokes and wooing women even at 80 years of age! Incredible stuff for a so-called “old chap”. Do you think he smokes?
