Trust In Me

I’ll be bold here and say that I am an expert in the field of stopping smoking. What makes me so special then?
I used to smoke over a pack a day of high tar smokes. I would wake up and the first thing I would do is to light a cigarette, often in bed!
Then I would hop on my bicycle, thinking that it was a great way to clear out my lungs and get rid of the damage caused by smoking. Does this sound familiar to you? You might also think that “cutting down” or doing other things can reduce the risk and make smoking “OK”.
But the problem was that I used to also smoke while riding!
Of course, smoking is banned in most public buildings now but I would still smoke as soon as I hit the fresh air.
I would smoke even more when I was going out drinking. In fact, I would prepare ahead of time and make sure I had 2 packs on me first. Even then, I would often need more cigarettes and need to borrow some more cigarettes off a friend.
Heck, I even smoked whilst I played soccer!
So, you can see, I’ve been there and done it. Allow me to reiterate to you, please trust in me. I know more than the drug companies and I definitely know more than your doctor when it comes to stopping smoking successfully. As a former smoker and now a non-smoker, I can truly understand where you are coming from? Can the CEO of a drug company or your doctor say that? Unlikely!
Keep an open mind and trust that I know what I’m talking about. Ignore the “voices” in your head that may disagree with me, that’s your addiction talking to you.
