Why NRT and Other Methods Fail

NRT or nicotine replacement therapy, is one of the biggest cons that the human race endures today. Except that most of us believe that it is one of the best ways to stop smoking!
Even those people who know that the drug companies flout the law and peddle harmful drugs that have not been tested properly, they will still think that NRT products like gum, inhalers and patches, are safe methods backed by sound medical science.
I mean, even the government and your own family doctor recommends people to use NRT to stop smoking.
Let me be clear, I am not a conspiracy theorist or someone who always goes against the grain of popular opinion. I don’t believe in Area 51 or that men never went to the moon! But I too, was conned, just like you probably are, into believing the fallacy of NRT.
NRT says that replacing smoking with nicotine is good for you. How can replacing one form of nicotine with another be good? Sure, you will no longer be inhaling chemicals but you will still be addicted to nicotine (or at least think that you are).
The recommendations for using NRT are that you cut down the dose week by week and then finally stop for good. Then why not just do that with cigarettes? Will 8 weeks of using patches really improve your health that much? If you’re successful, you can look forward to years of improved health!
The big problem with NRT is that it does not solve the addiction. It openly admits to just being a different source of nicotine. What’s more, it is usually more expensive than cigarettes! What a great way to make a lot of money out of smokers!
NRT is a complete con - maybe you think that your family doctor who has always looked after you is the person to believe and not me. Well, he knows no better. He has sales reps from drug companies offering him great deals on these drugs. Even if he looks at the medical papers on the success of NRT, he will not think about who is funding this “research”. The whole system is against people like you or I, and all smokers, and geared towards using these con products.
NRT simply doesn’t work. People who use NRT will still crave cigarettes for the rest of their life. Don’t fall into this trap and throw away all the gum and patches you have because they won’t help you. Studies show practically no difference in success from using NRT compared to placebo and for those that don’t - I would personally question their methods, their funding and their motives.
Have you ever heard of people telling you that they quit smoking forever using NRT? Have you ever heard of a drug company to persist with marketing a treatment out of the good of their heart that did not make them tons of cash? Do you really think that NRT is a win-win situation for everyone?
Don’t believe the establishment when it comes to NRT. I’m sure that your family doctor is not intentionally conning you, but the facts speak for themselves - NRT to stop smoking is a useless myth.
If you abandon NRT, and learn to understand your addiction, then these are the real keys to your freedom.
Let’s see now what other methods work or don’t work and what we can learn from them.
